Landcom Glenfield Remediation

Project

A complex, multi-disciplinary remediation project across a historically occupied government site

Project Scope

A complex, multi-disciplinary remediation project across a historically occupied government site, covering ageing structures dating back to the 1930s, including a former veterinary hospital. EMS was engaged to prepare the land for future residential development, managing everything from demolition through to final remediation and handover.

EMS Solution & Execution

EMS approached this project with the rigour it demanded. From day one, systems were in place to manage the known risks. As unexpected finds emerged, the team responded quickly, adapting scope without losing momentum or control.

Tight coordination with the adjacent school kept community impact to a minimum. Dust and noise monitoring ran continuously, and communication with stakeholders was proactive, not reactive.

Throughout the life of the project, EMS maintained detailed, high-level documentation that met Landcom’s expectations at every review point. Every additional works item, whether an unidentified tank, a buried building, or hazardous pipe network, was managed, reported, and resolved.

This project tested every discipline EMS brings. Environmental control, contamination management, stakeholder communication, adaptive planning, and the kind of steady, methodical execution that complex government projects demand. It is a project EMS is proud to have delivered.
